Actually both.

Each time I enter a server, the game mutes my mic.  I have to alt-tab and un-mute and then re-enter the game.

kinda sucks.  Ihave the standard on-board sound card on my mother-board.

Also EA said that the onboard sound would not support the VoIP feature if the onboard was an AC-97 chip (which most are).

if this is your chip then you're SOL, sorry to say

I had this problem again and couldnt remember how to fix it so I had to search thru forums.  Your fix was easier and it worked.

OK, so that's the third person from the same damn hostname and IP address in two days, posting on old threads.  Banned, banned, banned.  Damnit, I thought I turned on moderator approval required for all new people.....

Ok Bob,  took it a step further.  Banned him in the site control panel and for good measure banned at the server also.   wink
